Spherical in shape and covered with concave flowers, the forget-me-not from the original ‘Semis de Fleurs’ designed by René Lalique in 1922 has now been replaced by the anemone. A flower that for the great Colette “spreads everywhere, like a parachute swept by the wind”. Enough of a breeze to liberate, hence its name, which comes from the Greek word ‘anemos’ meaning ‘wind’. From this transitory corolla, Lalique created an everlasting flower in crystal.
