Cayenne, the 2019 Audi Q8 debuts with its Ur-Quattro inspired exterior design
powered by a Volkswagen Turbo Fuel Stratified Injection (TFSI) 3.0L engine and
Quattro All-wheel drive system. Completing an already proven and impressive
platform is the available fully-adjustable air ride suspension with all-wheel
steering that brings the Q8 to new heights of versatility and comfort.
Model value:
The Audi Q7 blazed the way for the Audi Q8 to jump into the ring that is
the luxury mid-size SUV segment. The Q8 changes the game as it stands however,
with a 5-seater design rather than seven seats like its predecessor, this gives
the Q8 adequate cargo capacity for a couple golf bags while providing a
luxurious ride for a full boat of passengers. The Q8's Virtual Cockpit
instrument cluster, its luxurious interior and superb drivetrain gives rivals
like the BMW X6, Porsche Cayenne, Range Rover and Mercedes-Benz GLE real
competition.
Model overview:
The Q8 introduces a refreshing and civilized option in a segment full of a
wide variety of options. With every trim level getting the same 3.0L TFSI VW
powerplant producing 335 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, standard
rear-wheel bias all-wheel drive and a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission for
lightning quick shifts, its no wonder the Q8 performs so well. All Q8s are also
equipped with Audi's new 48-volt mild hybrid system, which permits extended
stop-start functionality and extended engine-off coasting at highway speeds.
The Q8 is available in three trim levels -- Premium, Premium Plus and
Prestige.
Standard features on Premium models include 20-inch wheels, dual 10.1-inch
infotainment multimedia touch screen and an 8.6-inch touch screen for climate
control and data input, MMI Navigation plus with touch response and virtual
cockpit, a panoramic moonroof, a parking system with rearview camera,
leather-appointed seats and Fine Ash wood inlays.
An optional Convenience Package adds an Audi phone box with wireless
charging and antenna booster, Audi side assist with rear cross-traffic assist
and vehicle exit warning. Also included are heated and power folding
auto-dimming wing mirrors that even include memory settings.
Stepping into the Premium Plus includes the Convenience Package, adds
21-inch 5-spoke W-design wheels, a 3D Bang & Olufsen surround sound system,
4-zone climate control and a Top view camera system with virtual 360 surround
view.
The fully-loaded Prestige adds a heads-up display, a leather dashboard with
contrast stitching, Alu touch-sensitive buttons as well as sophisticated LED
headlights that can shape headlight patterns to adapt to road obstacles and
oncoming traffic.
Optional packages like the Luxury Package will set you back $5950 dollars
but include an Alcantara headliner, dual pane glass, individual contour seats
with ventilation and massage and the extended Valcona leather package that
includes wrapped center console and armrests.
The Q8 features a full
roster of advanced safety and driver assist features, including
forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian
detection, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, traffic-sign
recognition and adaptive cruise control.
